BusinessObjects Standard Training
MIS offers hands-on, half-day standard training sessions for new, intermediate and advanced users. Training based on finance data is also available.
How-to Workshops and Data Information Sessions
How-to workshops are in-depth sessions where advanced functions of BusinessObjects can be demonstrated and discussed with users. MIS can also provide workshops tailored for your needs, such as how to publish your reports on the web or how to create standard reporting styles.
Data Information Sessions have been designed to help staff to understand a specific data collection (eg Research data), the operational systems this data comes from, and how to find and use standard reports.
Special training
In addition to standard training sessions, we are happy to organise training for groups of staff on request. Such groups might include staff from a single Faculty or other administrative area, staff not based at St Lucia, or staff with a particular focus, eg personnel officers. Sessions can be held at another venue or campus if required.
If you would like to discuss special training in more detail please contact User Support.
Other Support
Helpline: The User Support area is available to help you with BusinessObjects and related queries. We use a remote shadowing facility to help you to get the most out of support calls. Please do not hesitate to contact us even if you consider your query/problem to be minor. Often a phone call can provide a quick answer that might otherwise take you some time to work out by yourself.
Consultation: As well as the helpline, MIS staff are available for consultation. We can provide advice on a particular project or on your reporting requirements in general. This can be on a one-to-one basis or we can give a demonstration to a group of staff in your area. Please call Elice Garcia on 52595 if you would like to make an appointment.
Reportal: The Reportal can be customised to suit your area’s particular needs – if you would like to discuss your requirements for online reporting, please contact User Support.
