When you have two objects acting as headings in a crosstab table, you can use the Centre across break feature in the Breaks format window to centre the top most value across the values below. The report below contains a crosstab table that is headed by Function and Gender. The Centre across break feature can be used to centre the values in Function across the gender values below.
1. Click once on the object whose values you wish to centre

2. Click on Format at the top of the page and choose Breaks. The Breaks format window will now open.

3. Click on the Across Edge tab at the top of the window.

4. In the Break Definition section, click in the checkbox next to Centre Value Across Break.

5. Click on the OK button to finish.
The Function values of 'Academic' and 'Other' are now centred across the gender values below.
