Question
I have a report with sections in it. I have inserted a chart in each section. I only want the chart to appear for sections where this will have impact – i.e. I don’t want a chart where there is not enough data to display.
Answer
It is possible to hide charts occurring within sections where figures are low.
Solution
Click on the chart, then go to Format > Chart. Select the Appearance tab. Check the Hide Block box, then click on Edit Formula to create a formula to hide the charts you do not want. Click on OK.
Example
A report has a section on Program Owner Description. A chart is entered next to the table in each section. Charts in some sections are displaying data for small numbers.
Click on the chart, then go to Format > Chart. Select the Appearance tab. Check the Hide Block box, then click on Edit Formula to create a formula to hide the charts you do not want.
The formula to use is: =<Number of Prospects><=10
Click on OK. Note that in this example, the chart is hidden for ARTS.
